Visitation Restriction Lifted

Homewood at Martinsburg no longer has a visitation restriction in place as result of a norovirus. However, we are still in active flu season with active flu cases within Blair County. The CDC has predicted that this season we can expect a higher than normal number of flu cases.

Therefore, we do ask that if you show any signs or symptoms of illnesses, please refrain from visiting our Homewood community. Symptoms may include: fever or feeling feverish; chills; cough; sore throat; runny or stuffy nose; muscle or body aches; headaches; fatigue (tiredness); and some people may have vomiting and/or diarrhea.

The best way to prevent the flu is to get vaccinated. Wash hands with soap and water regularly and use hand sanitizer. Take antiviral medication if prescribed by your physician. Keep your hands away from your face and mouth. Stay home if you have any symptoms and until you are symptom free for 48 hours. #fightflu
